My Son was admitted 4th December 2019 and it was a rainy and cold day. When we got to the ward it was cold. Upon requesting for the Aircon to be switched on. It was not working and I expressed that I have a back problem and cant be in that room. We were moved to another ward which was warm. Spent 2 days in that ward and Was moved again and upon being moved requested to be moved to a warm room and the room was not warm. Bear in mind I have a back problem. What was worse that room did not have a facility for parents to sleep at night. Upon requesting for that. The Nurse came and literally threw the mattress, blanky and sheet on the floor. There was no pillow. Did not use any of those as I was not going to be treated like ****. Used the blanked my son came with from ward 203. Came Saturday. I was not even offered a blanked. Slept on a chair in that cold room and only at 5am sunday morning. Sr Refilwe only came to switch on the aircon. Like really at 5 am while I spent the entire night in that cold and the aircon was blowing cold air. Horrible expereince for a aparent with a sick child. ****ty Private Hospital.
