Claim

I was involved in an MVA on April 2024, I then went to casualty as I was not sure of an impact. Months 3 weeks back I received a statement from Casualty and Radiology saying I owe them the medical aid said my funds are depleted so they paid half on both. I then investigated for them as this was an emergency which the Medical aid pays from Risk not day to day. Apparently the hospital was suppose to request for an AUTH number so it can pay from risk. I spoke to Boniswa last week Thursday on the 23rd of May 2024, who told me she is knocking off at 3pm while I called her around 2:35pm. Today I was helped by Thulani Mfusi who I gave direction of what to do. Even went to an extend of giving him the telephone number and email address of Pre Auth department. The medical aid approved the Auth with a penalty as the claim is a month old. Thulani says the penalty must paid by me as if its my fault that they billed from the wrong pool.
