Admission for hours without being assisted

I went into preterm labour & drove to the hospital. on arrival i was admitted, put on a drip and was advised my gynae will be called. He asked the nurses to administer medication and check on the baby's heartbeat. I was in hospital for over 6 hours before the gynae arrived. He ran more checks on the baby and administered more medication to reverse the labour. During this time i was not allowed to eat or drink anything. He eventually said i could eat after 8 hours of waiting. My husband was referred to the same hospital for an appendicitis operation & he was called & told to be at the hospital in the morning @ 9am & he must not eat anything as he will be going straight to theatre. He got there & was admitted & told he hasn't been booked in for the procedure as the dr is not available. He's been waiting from 8 am to be seen by the dr and he last had something to eat last night at 5pm. It's surely not good to keep patients waiting for hours to be seen by Drs. This is the kind of service you would expect from a government hospital and not a private facility we pay thousands of rands for their service. I am utterly gutted at their service. They should close down.
