Unwanted Funeral Policy – Cancellation Request My mother is a pensioner and was misled into taking out a funeral policy after being told she would receive coupons worth R1,800. She does not want this policy. The only policy she has with Clientèle is her legal plan, which she is happy with. We have now seen an active DebiCheck mandate for ***, yet my mother did not accept any DebiCheck mandate and did not provide the consultant with her banking details for this funeral policy. She does not even know how much she is supposedly covered for. This raises a serious concern: just because my mother has an existing legal plan with Clientèle, who gave Clientèle authority to use her banking details for another policy that she did not knowingly agree to? We have already emailed requesting cancellation, but only received an automated response telling us to call. We demand this policy to be cancelled immediately and that no money be deducted from my mother's account.
