********* behavior - misrepresentation of product

Hello. I’m writing this review with an extremely heavy heart due to the ********* business practice of Clientele Life agents. Around mid year I received a follow up call from one of the Clientele agents since I was looking to signup my family, relatives on a funeral cover. The agent advised me that they had a perfect product that suited my needs...where I had to pay R450 and cover around 12 family and relative members. During the call I indicated that I was happy with the product and thus agreed that I would sign on upon receipt of the policy document. Eventually I managed to get through the call Centre to try and add my family, relatives and was then advised that this was not possible on the product cover. I then disputed this as I was sold the policy that I could add the 12 family, relatives over the call by the agent. The case was then handed over to the compliance department for investigation and the outcome was that the agent indeed misled me and misrepresented the product in order to sign me up, and that the agent would go for disciplinary action. I then requested that this matter be escalated and that I get a refund for the 5 months I had paid for a cover that didn’t exist.

I’m now told that Clientele is not going to refund my money back. I really find this ********* that an organization would **********ly sell you an product and still want to keep my money. This does not make sense, one would expect an even better service and ethical behavior from a tuckshop.
