Unauthorized Policy Registration and Debit Order – Immediate Cancellation

I am quoting the following review published by Frieda M on 06 Jan 2026 at 13:22 and i am sitting with the EXACT same issue, and i am demanding an URGENT Resolution with Feedback please!!!

"Frieda M 5 reviews | Active since Apr 2024 06 Jan 2026 at 13:22 URGENT: Unauthorized Policy Registration and Debit Order – Immediate Cancellation I am writing to formally lodge a serious complaint regarding an unauthorized Clientele Perks Policy that was *****ulently registered in my name and a debit order that was processed without my consent.

On 6 December 2025, I was approached by a Clientele agent named Neo at Mamelodi Square Shopping Complex. The agent attempted to sell me a Clientele Perks policy. I clearly indicated that I was in a rush and did not agree to take out any policy. The agent insisted on giving me his contact number so that he could explain the policy at a later stage.

During this interaction, the agent took my phone under the pretext of saving his number and sent himself a WhatsApp message. I did not authorise him to access any applications, approve any mandates, or register me for any product. At no point did I give consent for a policy to be activated, nor did I provide my banking details or sign any debit order mandate.

To my shock, I later received a debit order from Clientele, despite never authorising such a transaction. Upon contacting your Head Office, I was informed that the agent I met had registered the policy in my name and that the mandate was somehow authorised using my phone. This is deeply concerning and constitutes a serious breach of ethical conduct and consumer protection laws.

I subsequently contacted the agent, who admitted that he registered me because he was desperate to obtain clients. This admission confirms that the policy was taken out *****ulently and without my informed consent.

I also contacted Capitec Bank in an attempt to reverse the debit order and was advised that Clientele debit orders are irreversible, leaving me financially prejudiced through no fault of my own.

I hereby formally demand the following:

Immediate cancellation of the Clientele Perks Policy registered in my name

A full refund of all monies debited from my account

A written confirmation that the policy has been cancelled and that no future debit orders will be processed

A formal investigation into the conduct of the agent involved

Please note that I did not consent to this policy in any form, and this matter may be escalated to the National Consumer Commission, FAIS Ombud, and relevant regulatory bodies should it not be resolved urgently.

I expect written feedback and resolution ASAP"
