*****ulent mall sale in thohoyandou &Debicheck abuse -request for full refund to compliance officer

An agent stopped me at a mall in Thohoyandou in April and signed me up for a Perks voucher plan under false pretences. They did not explain that monthly money would be taken from my bank account. They set it up as a DebiCheck mandate, which is now blocking me from reversing it on my Capitec app.I have already contacted Clientèle's call centre, and they falsely told me I cannot get a refund. This contract was obtained via misrepresentation and without my clear consent. I demand that a senior manager contacts me immediately to permanently cancel this policy, delete my banking details, and refund the money deducted in April. If this is not resolved, I will escalate this case to the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) and the National Consumer Commission (NCC).

Dear Melo M,

Thank you for raising your concerns and bringing this matter to our attention.

The sales call was reviewed and it was found that the policy was sold correctly and you have also authenticated a Debi-Check mandate.

We confirm that Lungile Mathebula from our Market Conduct department has been in contact with you to provide the necessary feedback.

You requested to cancel the policy and the cancellation of the debit order process was confirmed.

We trust you find this in order, however, should you wish to contact us again please do not hesitate to do so.

Regards,
Market Conduct,
