Reversal of a debit order for a funeral policy that was not consented to

I am writting to get support from Clientelle Life on behalf of my brother. He had an amount of R568 deducted from his account on the 25 of December 2025 for a funeral policy that he did not consent to, and did not even have knowledge of in the first place. In an attempt to get his money back the consultant at Clientelle informed him that the stipulated window to perform a reversal has lapsed so he cannot get his money back. The bank is also not able to assist.

The debit order has been cancelled, but he wants his money back because he did not get into any legal agreement with this service provider.
