product falsely sold

I had 7 day stay in hospital, I then made a laim on my hospital claim and was advised by a consultant my injury was pre existing which disqualified me from claiming. When this product was sold to me I was told that this hospital plan is not a medical aid therefor im confused when I was told of pre existing conditions.please investigate this matter urgently
