Not paying our after death.
My mom and dad had a funeral plan at clientele life. When my dad passed away in 2015 it paid out to my mom as she was his beneficiary. And he was hers. Then my mom passed away on the 22nd of March. Before my mom passed away she gave me a letter giving me access to all her accounts, aswell making me the beneficiary of her policy. That was done in December. (my mom flew for the first time and she was scared so she gave me the letter. needless to say she went to cape town and back and enjoyed it.
Now clientele life does not want to pay out the R10 000 as she did not send them a letter changing her beneficiary. I need to go to the high court to get appointed as her beneficiary and then open a bank account for them to pay the monies in to. But the letter where she makes me executure of her will and her beneficiary. The funeral was Saturday and we still owe the funeral parlour the monies. That is why she had a policy not for us to worry about paying the monies through.
Not nice clientele life. Please put in your adverti*****ts that you will only pay if a 80 year old sends you a letter.
