No Cover

I requested a quote for a life policy online. I received a call and the normal process commenced. I am proud to say I am a recovering drug addict and have been clean for 4 and a half years. I was denied life cover from a senior sales consultant due to the face that I was honest enough to admit that I had a drug problem in my teens. I was told that if I smoked Marijuana, I needed to be clean for 5 years. Anything else I need to be clean for 10 years. This is so demeaning. HONESTY obviously gets you nowhere with Clientele. If you drink alcohol (A leading contributor to addiction death), they will gladly assist you, However I got told 'maybe another provider can assist me.'
