LIFE INSURANCE CREATED WITHOUT MY PERMISSION BY SALES PERSON
My name is Mpho Portia Thabane. On the 20th of November 2024, I was at Vaal Mall shopping center in Vanderbijlpark, Gauteng when 3 Clientele marketing people asked me to come to their stand. They told me that they are just going to give me a pamphlet and I went to them. When I got there, they started talking to me in a friendly way asking for my name and if I'm a student or working. I told them that I am a student, they then told me that there are deals that Clientele is giving away to people (Clientele perks) where when you download a Clientele app you get to spin the wheel and receive rewards for shopping discounts and can also win up to R20 000. They told me that it's just an app for spinning and getting rewards but if I feel like I like the app and it's services, I can then decide to upgrade and pay for perks or a life insurance of R150. I told them I don't want to pay, they then told me that I can do that upgrade on my own. They asked for my details (Names, ID number and cellphone number) saying it's needed for me to be able to download an app, it is for profile creation. After that, they gave me something to sign on the phone saying it's for proof that I spoke to them and they gave me a good service. After I signed, I told them that I'll download the app when I got home. When I got home, I took some days to download the app, span the wheel once and it told me I've reached maximum spins for month.
Yesterday, the 3rd of December 2024, I received some money from my father through my capitec account, when I checked for my money, I found out that Clientele took R150 from it
What I am saying is that Peter Ngwenya, your salesperson who was working in Vanderbijlpark, Vaal Mall on the 20th November 2024 and his two colleagues ******* me into giving them my details thinking it was for the creation of the profile for after I've downloaded the Clientele app AND created a life insurance account for me without my permission. They made me sign something I did not know what it was and **** about it
Given the fact that I told them I am a North-West University student, they even set the monthly debit order to be on the 25th of every month knowing that students get money from NSFAS or bursaries on the 25th of every month, whereas I did not even tell them that I am being funded by a bursary and also did not talk to them about anything that has to do with 25th of every month payment.
All I ask is that I get my R150 back and have my profile and details (information) removed from Clientele's database. I do not want my name and Clientele's name near each other. The issue already has the police involved, they told me to communicate with Clientele and try to fix it before they can take an action.
PETER NGWENYA and his 2 colleagues were the ones doing those things to me at Vaal Mall shopping center, Vanderbijlpark, Gauteng.
MY COMPLAINTS: 1. A ***** committed where they ******* me with Clientele perks and created a life insurance for me without my permission 2. My R150 was taken without me agreeing into that, I signed a document on Peter Ngwenya's phone without knowing it was for life insurance, but the Clientele app and proof of talking to him 3. I can't be able to reverse my R150 as to Clientele, it seems as if I agreed into having a Clientele life insurance which is not true 4. I need my money back and ALL of my information removed from Clientele's database, no association must be available between Clientele and I. When I'm ready to open a life insurance or any of your other services, I will create a new profile from the start. Please I can't lose that R150 I am a student struggling, please bring it back. I've sent a whatsapp and email to services@clientele
