Grievance Regarding Beneficiary Claim Processing

I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction and outrage regarding the handling of a claim for my late partner’s investment account. As the 100% designated beneficiary, I have found your internal processes to be inconsistent, obstructive, and remarkably insensitive during this period of bereavement.

My grievances are centered on the following points: * Inconsistent and Contradictory Requirements: After completing the requested encashment forms, I was abruptly told a Letter of Executorship was required. However, the Master’s Office explicitly informed me that such a letter is unnecessary for a direct beneficiary claim. Despite relaying this legal guidance to your team, your agents continue to insist on documentation that would effectively nullify my partner's express wish to name me as the sole recipient.

* Disregard for Beneficiary Designations: By demanding I follow a path that forces the distribution of funds. This feels less like a verification process and more like a deliberate attempt to complicate a straightforward claim.

* Financial Erosion and Delays: I was initially quoted a payout of roughly R2,000, which has now been reduced to R1,900 due to administrative fees. It is insulting to have a meager sum further depleted by fees while your company's own incompetence causes these very delays.

* Emotional and Financial Strain: This "fruitless back-and-forth" is draining me. I have a young son to provide for, and the time wasted on these confusing calls is time I do not have.

For an institution of your size, this level of service is appalling. Your "people-last" approach makes this process feel predatory rather than professional. I expect an immediate resolution that honors the original beneficiary status without further unnecessary legal hurdles.

P.S: A grieving young mom. (My 20s are already brutal I don't need Clientele adding to that).
