Frustrated with the service of Clientele

I submitted a funeral claim, my uncle passed away. An assessor at Clientele asked me a few questions regarding my relationship with the deceased. I explained to them that it is my mother’s cousin. My mother’s mom and his father were brother and sister. She said she will come back to me with the outcome and she never did. I called this morning and was told that my claim is invalid because he is not my uncle. I told them I’ve know all my life that my mother’s cousin is my uncle. I asked the lady if he is not my uncle then what is he to me she said my second cousin? So I told her at the end of the day is he my family whether it’s uncle or second cousin. I asked her is the man my family or not and she said she can’t answer that. So guys please think twice before taking out a funeral cover at Clientele.

Had they asked me how is he your uncle when I took out this funeral cover we wouldn’t be having this issue. My uncle’s funeral is this weekend and now I’m sitting with egg on my face.
