A clientele telesales agent contacted me in April,convincing me to take out a Hospital plan with them.He explained that I woul receive the policy by email and if not satisfied I could cancel within 30 days. On receipt of the policy i noticed that the the terms and conditions relating to the policy were not as the salesman had explained. A payment had already gone through by debit order. I immediately sent an email requesting that the policy be cancelled and the premium refunded. I received emails from them ,requesting I reconsider.I ignored these emails and was under the impression this policy was cancelled within the 30 days(I have my cancellation mail on record). Clientele proceeded to process another 6 debit orders through my account of which I managed to get 3 returned by the Bank. After various time cosumong attempts to contact them ,I eventually got hold of them after a long and expensive phone call,the operator advised that they had indeed received my cancellation mail and advised that they would refund the other 3 premiums in 48 hours,after a number of follow up calls ,and all kinds of excuses for the delay,I was eventually advised that the premiums would not be refunded due to my not responding to their follow up mails. I really dread to think what would happen in the case of a claim. These guys after obviously just there to make a buck,what they promise is certainly not what they deliver. BE WARY OF THIS COMPANY. The modus operandi is to get the debit order done by explaining and promising really attractive benefits.
