Complaint - ******** elderly people (Clientele)

***

We submitted a claim for our late deceased mother on the 20th of September 2022 with the above reference, we were then advised that the beneficiary is Gcina Mdikane. The clientele claims department later contacted me to advise that Gcina is not the beneficiary we need to go to the master of the high court to request an executorship or nominee of the estate which provided us with a letter to appoint the executor. We were then later informed that we do not need to go to the master of the high court as they will be paying Siviwe Zathu as she is the beneficiary, three weeks later after submission of the claim, they paid R6 312.00 we questioned the cover under no circumstances one would take a cover for that amount. We then requested a voice recording from the point of sale as we discovered that clientele sold policies to an elderly citizen at the age of 81yrs with a collection value of R1800 from my mother's pension salary for different policies. I requested the voice recordings from the point of sale and I was informed that I am a third party and they can't disclose such information, to my surprise I was the one they contacted until they decided to pay the R6312.

They advised that the payee was not the primary beneficiary of the policies she took with the clientele we are uncertain of the clientele's intentions and whether they are ******** elderly people.

I would like to be contacted by the clientele with all the recordings and policy documents and also be advised on the age one can take a cover, she believed to be covered for R50 000 with full benefits. For the rest of the policies, we would like a full refund of the debit orders from 2018 to 30 September 2022.
