Clientele - worse than COVID!

I took out a policy with Clientele 7 years ago. They approached me with smooth offers upselling the policy. At the time, no mention was made of their cancellation terms or around the restrictions/risks associated with the policy. I paid every single instalment on time for the past 7 years and have never claimed 1 cent. Now, due to unforseen circumstances, I have reached a situation in which I am unable to continue with the policy only to be told it can't be ceded to one of the others on the policy and I am not entitled to any of the amounts paid over the past 7 years. It has taken me 2 months of back-and-forth phone calls all at my expense and they have only cancelled my policy today. Zero customer service once they sign you on. Please be wiser than I was and avoid Clientele like the plague!!!
