Clientele **********ly issue a policy in my name

I found a debit made by Clientele on my bank statement. I know of Clientele but have heard of so many being duped by this company into buying policies that they cannot afford and which they often don't understand.

I phoned the business and was promptly helped by a man named Brian. We saw that the name on the contract was not properly my name. The address was very rural, not where you would always expect a Mr Young to live.

Brian was sympathetic and escalated the issue to investigation. I got a reference number.

About 10 days later, I received a call from YESMINE. I was in a sickbed pending an operation. She interrogated me, making me feel like a ********. She then told me to send her an affidavit stating that I had nothing to do with Clientele. Despite being not well, she insisted that I go to a police station to get the affidavit signed within a week. No sympathy or consideration for my circumstances. I managed to get an affidavit through my financial broker.

She called the next day saying the case had been resolved in my favour. No apology was forthcoming so I had to ask her for an apology.

YESMINE - it would do you good not to be so aggressive when it is obvious that the person you are talking to has been de*****ed. Go and take some lessons from Brian.

I also enquired if they had made an investigation into the salesperson who committed this *****. She said they would, but I was not entitled to know what they discovered.

Clientele - you have a reputation - at least with me and many people I know - for aggressively marketing your products to the extent that ***** is sometimes the result.

I must add that a few days later the second month's debited amount was paid back into my account. However, I had reversed the first month's deduction which cost me R40 in bank charges. She had no interest in refunding that R40 to me, even if I proved the deduction in the bank statement. No good Clientele.
