Clientèle falls advertising
Field agents in Beaufort West approached unemployed individuals stating that clientèle was celebrating an anniversary by giving away Shoprite shopping vouchers for free. In order to receive it one must be a Capitec account holder. This message was also conveyed over by one of the police officers who informed me. On my way to Checkers I was approached by Linde one of the field agents. She explained that you do not have to take the policy and that I received a R2000 Shoprite shopping voucher with a R200 airtime voucher. Instructions was that I needed to give my card so that they can swipe it to validate the voucher. Not knowing that this was to secure the mandate to validate and authorize the debit order. Upon contacting her she continuously said that
"wait a call"
And that I needed to download the app. After my debit order went off I contacted her and sent an email to Clientèle that I do not want the policy and that I cancelled it. I recognized her in the street and approached her. But to my surprise she denied knowing me. I had to pay a R30 to cancel the debit order which I could not return. I contacted her and asked her to contact the person who thinks he or she will receive a commission that I want my money back. The only words I received was "OK"
"It's cancelled"
My question to Clientèle is. Why do you allow your field agents to prey on unemployed individuals because she and the others are representatives of Clientèle. If you need a record of our chats I will gladly send it and a picture of her. But I would like to get my R360 back.
