Poor Service and Broken Agreements

Very Disappointed

I have been a client for many years and all off a sudden the T/C's which my policy was sold on will not be honoured. This is from a Legal Firm providing legal services so if this is how they treat their own clients just on a admin matter I am REALLY concerned what would happen if there is actually a legal claim

Policy sold to me telephonically +/- 8 years ago with specific reference to partner coverage as long as your partner has been living with you for longer than 6 months. NOT a specific partner, JUST a partner thus meaning that all partners under this rule will be accepted and covered during lifetime of the policy. PS...... This is also Customary Law BTW.......

The call was traced by CL and terms also confirmed. Agent (Not going to mention his name)that spoke to me told me that CL admits that their agent made a mistake however they are still not changing partners. (All calls recorded)

Now when I want to change partner it is not allowed unless married (Proof of Marriage) conveniently ignoring customary law. This is not what was sold to me nor did I agree to any change in T/C with regards to this matter and all premiums are paid on time and in full.

It is now 1 month (4 weeks) after I originally attempted to change partners and still no joy.

Dear Clientele Legal, please can I request that you honour the terms on which my policy was sold to me? If you cannot (or will not) then may I kindly request a refund for the FULL period of premiums paid INCLUDING interest on the principle amounts paid...

Please resolve this issue and stop beating around the bush with this POOR service.

Thank you very much

Dear ***

Your complaint was received and noted.

By now you have been contacted regarding the outcome of your complaint. We have confirmed that the policy terms and conditions clearly confirm the meaning of a “Spouse” who can be covered on the plan.

You have confirmed that you are not satisfied with the outcome, we have therefore provided you with the escalation process.

We trust you find the above in order.

Yours sincerely,

Compliance Department
