NO KNOWLEDGE OF SA CREDIT LAW AND BAD BUSINESS ETHICS
A brand that I would NEVER ever recommend to poor South Africans is Clientele. I have had a policy with them for 4 years now... All these years they have been receiving my premiums. I registered claims twice for their assistance during this period ; the first claim was closed without a feedback to me. I recently registered a second claim in March 2018. This one is pertaining my debt case. After they tried comig up with the first excuse not to assist me, claiming that I needed to owe much to the banks (bond and car finance) before they could assist me; I had to probe and research different institutions to prove that what they said to me was not true. They agreed to help after I presented all the facts from Debt Councillors, courts and NCR. As I was waiting for them to process application to remove the debt review order, they kept on looking for more documents of which I provided to enable them to approach third parties. Only on Monday this week they came back informing me that they can't cover me because I had fallen behind with my installments before I took their cover when I thought what was important was the date of registration with the debt Councillor... I registered with debt councillor after I had completed their waiting period. I was so hurt and disappointed by this company, not to mention the bad service and rude paralegal assistant's (so called legal advisors) used on cases/ Subjects that they have NO expertise for. I would like to warn people out there not to be lured by attractive adverts they see on TV, this company will take all your premiums for years without cash back option and find reasons not to assist or pay you when you claim. People should not take up Clientele policies as they will be treated as step children for the money they pay every month. I had to tell their so called legal advisers which institutions to go to, to get assistance for my case... They are useless and inadequate bunch of money hungry people who hire incapacitated employees. THIS BRAND MUST FALL!!

We would like to confirm that your claim does unfortunately fall outside the ambit of your Legal Policy and regrettably you were therefore entitled to limited assistance from our office.
You reported your intention to rescind the debt review order around March 2018. You were requested to send the court order to determine when the order was granted of which you did. You were further probed as to when you defaulted with your debts. You then advised you defaulted in August 2015 and approached debt counsellors in September 2015.
Unfortunately the date you started defaulting which led you to go under debt arose prior to finalizations of your waiting period. Please contact us on *** or email us at *** should you need anything further.
