Landlord/Tenant Deposit Dispute handled by Clientele legal lawyers

Hi everyone, I'm typing this with a very sore heart. I opened up a case against my former landlord at clientele Legal and the lawyer handling my case is Thabang Letsie. Here is my story. I told my landlord Mr Freddy Khunou that I would be moving out the 31st of March 2024, he forced me to move out 3rd of February saying there are tenants ready to occupy the place immediately and once they move in I would get my deposit back. I moved out on the 3rd of February and expected my R4000 deposit to be paid into my account immediately. I even went as far as giving him a grace period of a month because he was saying no one has occupied the place yet.

I have been a loyal member of clientele for 3+ years and this is the first case I really needed them to step up. Till today I haven't gotten my money back. I am the one to call the lawyers to get progress about my case. This isn't fair because I've never had such an experience before. Freddy was supposed to be given a letter of demand a long time ago and sent to small claims court. I know I'm young but it doesn't mean I don't know what is right and what is wrong. My fellow citizens.. Be cautious when you join such policies because it's good for them when they debit your money but when it's time for them to act, they drag their feet.
