Clientele legal, sloppy when it comes time to claim

I want to express my dissapointment with clientele life. I put in a claim for a dispute that I have and it was declined. Firstly the lady who phoned me to notify that the claim was not approved was very rude to me uneccesarily .I spoke to her in a calm manner and when I was not accepting her point of view, she started raising her voice at me and speaking down to me. Clientele is not allowing the claim because the cause of action date was prior to me joining. However the dispute date was after I had joined.I am not even sure if they sent me my policy documents prior to me putting in a claim and if they didnt, they are liable to approve the claim. The policy documents which I recieved after I lodged a complaint does not specify anything about a cause of action date and by simply stating pre existing conditions and not mentioning anything about a cause of action date is misleading as this type of terminology is not common knowledge to an ordainairy person. What is also shocking is they have false and misleading marketing. They specifically state pre existing matters are excluded from the policy. This means that we may not appoint a lawyer to represent you in court if you join after a legal matter is already in progress. This is misleading as one would think that if you already have a matter in progress than it is not covered but if your matter happens after the waiting period and the cause of action date was before you joined then you are covered. My matter arosed after the waiting period ,there should be no reason not to approve the claim. I was contacted by an investigator who didnt help much and it seems like Clientele life are trying to get out of they liability of misleading and false advertising. I asked also for them to investigate the matter prior to contacting me by listening to the recording between myself and the lady who contacted me to notify me that the claim was not approved, to find out if the consultant at the point of sale specified any cause of action date to me and also for them to find out if they did in fact send me policy documents prior to lodging a claim, but the senior advisor did not have answers for me and could only tell me once again that the claim will not be approved . The claim is still under investigation ,I needed all of this information to assess whether I will take this matter further to the Ombudsman or not but have not recieved anything that I asked for . I was told to pay an amount of R45 to obtain a copy of the recording between myself and the lady who first notifiyed me that the claim had been rejected. In my objective opinion on the matter I feel like this is all an attempt not to pay out on claims and take responsibility for they liabilities . My ref number is CER475183.
