Clientele Legal Has Failed Me & My Family

I have lodged legal matter with Clientele on Monday, 14 March 2017 & to this day my matter has not been resolved. Granted the matter was a dispute that I had previously lodged with the building council (NHBRC) which have its own dispute resolution; however, time frames specified in their process have long elapsed & Clientele had ample opportunities to expedite the resolution process for me.

I have provided updates (e-mails, documentation, research etc.) at every point, each time requesting for specific action to be taken. Instead Clientele insists that the best way forward is to wait for the process to conclude & occasionally send e-mails to NHBRC asking for updates which NHBRC has never responded to.

Clientele Legal failed us because they could have been proactive & decisive in handling this matter for me & family. The were a lot of opportunities to do so. Instead, when I call them for updates I'm being told that my legal advisor is either doing research or waiting for a response from NHBRC. To date, I have left a lot of messages to speak to my legal advisor (check notes & recordings on my current claim) & he hasn't called me back - I've also escalated the matter internally & there is still no communication from anyone at Clientele Legal.

As someone who has been a client of Clientele Legal since March 2011, I'm appalled at your service & I therefore demand more - I'm entitled to it. I shouldn't be calling you (or visiting your offices) as much as I have been through out this process. I shouldn't be doing & providing you the research on South African Construction Law in an effort to expedite the matter. You should appoint me a legal advisor that is competent in the issue that I have - I want clear, concise & decisive direction with specific plan of action & time-lines to my specific requests on the way forward (again check your notes & recordings & my correspondence). I have outlined; in one of my many calls, that I'm taking over the building process because I want to move in my house before the year ends & that the delays in the construction process have been a financial burden to me & my family. The matter of claiming damages from the builder can be dealt with separately & in parallel.

Therefore, my matter should be given the highest priority it deserves & be urgently attended to. I have been understanding for long enough - I will not accept any generic response that seeks to undermine the merits of my claim & that will bring me further delays.
