Clientele legal giving me the run around

I took a clientele legal policy in 2021. And on November 2021 I was retrenched. I called Clinetele on January 2022 to cancel my policy because I couldn't keep up with premium payments as I am not working. Then the consultant didn't want to cancel my policy saying that he will give me a "free suspension benefit" and not pay my February premium. He then said should my employment status not change then they will cancel. Then came March 2022 I was still unemployed. I then sent an email to Clientele legal to cancel my policy. They acknowledged receipt of my cancelation request(which I still have proof of the email). Then yesterday my sister sent me money and to my shock and surprise Clientele legal debited my account twice with R220 for each premium. Which means they debited without my consent since I canceled my policy. I called today and they are giving me the run around, claiming that "they called me on April to let me know that they will be debiting"...and that never happened. I never received a call from them talking about them debiting my account. How can I agree to a double debit when I am unemployed. I want Clientele to cancel the policy and refund my premiums
