Clientele Legal a Farce and a Rip-off

You are in an auto accident with the other party 100% to blame. The reasonable man believes a legal case is only concluded when the damages are recovered from the other party. Not so Clientele Legal, they appoint *********** lawyers who drag the case out for years while you have to continue with your payments, and then, when a court order is eventually obtained after nearly five years and much complaining, they maintain the enforcement of the order is for the client's account and not covered by your Clientele Legal insurance. This is on top of a whole sage of instances of avoiding taking your case as contracted. Full details are on a website www.clientelelegalfarce.co.za. Their advertising is misleading to say the least and it is high time the public is informed how this company operates. Here is a summary: On or about 1 June 2015 I had to break for a dog and was hit from behind by an unlicensed vehicle. This is a clear "other party to blame" case, particularly as a video exists that unequivocally demonstrates the blame. This incident initiated a saga in which Clientele Legal gained and we lost. Even though we were covered and Clientele Legal accepted the case on our behalf, the utter incompetence and unacceptable delays meant that we paid more in premiums than we would have paid a competent private lawyer, and the case would have concluded years ago. The third lawyer appointed managed some success. She got the other party to sign an acknowledgement of debt and succeeded in having this made an order of court. After all this time, the firm that owned the vehicle apparently closed down and the driver falsely claims she has no assets. The vehicle involved is apparently broken down, but we believe could still be attached and yield most of the outstanding claim. Then came the crunch: we were informed through this lawyer that Clientele Legal had refused to enforce the court order and we would have to enforce the order at our own costs. At this point we decided to refuse to pay further premiums and to cancel our policy, but still to hold Clientele Legal liable. Ironically, for four months now they have religiously deducted payments from our account even though we had officially cancelled the policy – in writing. Each month we have had the payment reversed – at our costs. And still they keep deducting!
