Wrongly accused!!Pathetic service
Today i went to Clicks Liberty Promenade in Mitchell's Plain, Cape Town. I had just come from another retailer looking for a baby bottle sterilizer and decided not to purchase it as it was too expensive.I was in clicks for other baby products when approaching the till and seeing a Mark Down sign stating was R140 now R70 and 2 baby bottle sterilizers packed on the shelf corresponding with the mark down sign, there was no product description but seeing as there were 2 units stacked on the shelf by the sign i naturally took it that it was the price of that product. Excited as i had given up on finding a unit at a reasonable price i took one and went to the till.Surprised the unit scanned at R239 I told the cashier that the price was different on the shelf she just said no mam it was probably for baby clothes i told her it couldn't be as there was more than 1 unit on that particular shelf. she then called who i assume was the manager, the gentlemen then went to get the worker responsible for packing that shelf. The employee comes to the shelf and says "the customer must have put the item there." Being the customer now blatantly being accused of moving items to a discount shelf for my benefit I am completely disgusted at the behavior of the staff, the male employee then tells me no I am mistaken she dint mean me she meant a customer in general so now on top of being a ***** i am a **** as well??? I left my entire purchase and took my business elsewhere as no apology was offered i am to accept that i am a lying ***** who moved the product and move on???pathetic customer service really you should be embarrassed=d if that is how customers are treated..
