Worst shopping experience clicks somerset mall

Worst shopping experience ever I bought a sorbet flat iron from clicks on 29 June 2021 which has a 1year warranty its been 5 months and the thing stopped working . Clearly it was a defective unit as the item was removed from their shelves . I went to return the item and the lady told me that they can't help me without a slip . I gave her the date it was bought and presented a bank statement but I guess it was to much effort to assist me ...slips are kept atleast 6 months in store or she could atleast enquired it after selling me a defective item. Poor customer service, its not like I demanded a refund I just wanted to get what I paid for and what a was sold is not what I paid for .
