Worst customer service ever

My friend bought me a Kambrook kettle in March for a R999. He never kept his slip and didn't use his card. The kettle stop working and I just want to exchange it for the same product. Now the manager at clicks mall of the south Sifiso Mkabinele tels me the last scan price fot the kettle was R249 and if I want to exchange I need to pay up to receive exactly the same kettle. I don't understand how do you have a 12 month warranty on an item and it stops working and you tell me as a client I have to add money for exactly the same product. This is a useless place and didn't assist me at all.
