warning to other Clicks shoppers, i was treated badly by security ....

My husband and myself visited Clicks on Sunday 27th august 2017, reason: to buy toiletries for grandchild.. I went inside the shop, and husband got ex collegue outside and had a chat.

Took me a while, cos the toiletries are on sale , buy 3 and pay for 2,,so I took a while to decide which brand to take and what to take,,,, eventually took 3 items,,, then went down to nappies, called assistant, who assisted with prices, but I explained that I betta wait for my husband as I am not sure which brand to take…

Got to till, Cashier’s Tessedien, still made small talk bout the products etc,,, cos she has a baby as well,,I was looking around, cos needed to ask my husband, but could not see him etc,, ok finish with the payment, got to the door, and female security called me over, I had the 2 bags , no trolley, she came with basket trolley, I had confused look on my face, cos know u can’t go out of store with those, then the female security started explaining she want to see the product in my bag, and opened the bag and explain that the tops of those products sometimes don’t work,, I had again confused look, as I called 2 assistant, cosmetic side, nearest to the door and asked them since when does security involve/explain about products,the bottle is sealed, security then went to fetch a Spar trolley,,,, I said thank you, but was really upset at the time, got my husband at the door, and explained we have to go back for the nappies, when we went to the aisle,, only found one bag of nappies, when I looked up, another store assistant was watching us at the end of the aisle,, he was busy on his cell phone while watching us, but I called him over to explain I need 3 bags of nappies,, he said he will go check, after seconds he came back to say no stock……. I went to till point, ended up at same cashier,, and told her about my annoyance, I said your security is treating us like *********,, she explained that a lot of ******** activity nowadays taking place…. PLEASE !!!!

1. IF THE STAFF IS NOT AWARE OR YOUR SECURITY,, ITS CALLED RANDOM SEARCH… it means security is just doin their job, and I would understand my bags are being searched. 2. If the staff member standing at end of aisle watching us,, u are a staff member, instead of being on the phone he could have offered to assist us….

I find it really inexcusable for the way I was treated.. and will take this matter to Hellopeter to warn other shoppers, cos if that is how u treat shoppers, then its not worth it spending my hard earned money at such a store, by no means saying don’t have security.. but I want someone to give me an explanation,, the cosmetic ladies also tried to tell the security but the bottle sealed, why is she checking.

By the way, if any of them were interested in assisting us, I would have gladly told them that we shopping for a 6 yr old disabled child, who still wears nappies, so u need to check the brand, size and kg’s…. also I will take long at toiletries cos u cant use any toiletries, I have to check ingredients….

We bought items at Dischem , where assistants were helpful, security visible, and assisting when u looked as if u were unsure or looking for something..
