Unsafe Excessively leaking Mini Ultrasonic Humidifier

I was gifted a Mini Ultrasonic Humidifier purchased at Clicks for my birthday by my mom. At the first use, there was major leaking. I followed the instructions as per the manual and was not understanding the leak. The leak went in the parts of the appliance where it shouldn't and my electronics bedside lamp was also exposed. I emptied the humidifier and let it dry thinking I could reassemble and try it out again. The same thing happened. I went to do some research on the reviews of this item and was shocked at the amount of bad reviews the Mini Ultrasonic Humidifier has and it's all pointing to the excessive leaking.

Please, Clicks, how did this appliance pass quality check? It's a detriment to our lives as people can be electrocuted. As per the reviews, mom's with babies have bought the device and their little ones were exposed to danger. Please pull this product off the market and don't risk our lives with such poorly thought out mass produced appliances.

I'm returning this item to the store and hope to not have any issue about a refund.

I'm angry about the total disregard for life when Clicks, a well renowned store, is selling such an unsafe product.
