Unprofessional, inefficient, *********** and totally inferior service

Due to the fact that Click Pharmacy in Alberton City was closer to me than my previous pharmacy, I decided to provide Clicks with my new script and entrust them to provide me with the same service that I had received from my previous pharmacy - which is just to have my medication ready upon request, to supply me with the medication prescribed to me and assist me with any issues relating to my account at Clicks.

From day one I was disillusioned and regret ever changing pharmacies. I contacted the Discpensary and asked how long it would take for them to get my medication ready, after receiving my script on e-mail and I was informed that it would take 1 hour. When I went to collect my medication approximately 2 hours later, I was told that it was not ready as I had not provided my Clicks card number on the e-mail - they could not even take the time to respond to e-mail requesting this information. I got home, and when I opened the sealed packet, I discovered that a specific medicine on the script was not given to me. I contacted Dispencary again to inform them and I had to go back as they were not prepared to deliver it to me.

As it is a repeat prescription, for the second time I required the medication, I again sent an e-mail requesting them to get my mediction ready. I went to the pharmacy TWO DAYS later, and my script was not ready - it was quite obvious that nobody had been monitoring or actioning the e-mails. I waited at the counter for Collection of Prescriptions, but there was nobody to assist. When I asked one of the pharmacists at the Self-Medication counter for someone to assist me, he informed me that there were only 2 pharmacists and they were only servicing customers at the Self-Medication counter. I asked for the Manager.

The Responsible pharmacist then came to attend to me, apologized and started to get my medication - this caused me to be late for an important appointment!

The last straw was that Discovery had made an error and deducted chronic medication from my Medical Aid Savings Account. They had reversed the script, but due to the pharmacist giving me an alternative to one of the prescribed medicine's, there was a co-payment of over R300 - I was not informed by the pharmacist that the Medical Aid would not cover it. In order for Discovery to reimburse my Savings account, I had to pay the outstanding balance. I requested the Banking details from Clicks Pharmacy on 18th August, and was only given the INCORRECT Branch code and therefore could not load the Beneficiary. Again I requested for the correct Banking details to be provided, only to be given a different name to load as the Beneficiary name by a different pharmacist - obviously this concerned me as I did not want to make a payment with incorrect details and the payment not being received by Clicks.

I have been trying to get my payment allocated to my Pharmacy account and proof of payment since last week Thursday, the 18th of August - EIGHT AND A HALF DAYS!!! Still no response from Clicks Pharmacy in Alberton City, and no proof that the payment has been allocated to the account. Nor that there is no outstanding balance. I was promised by the Customer Service Manager that she would follow up with the Manager of the Debtors department - this has obviously not been done. Hence, Discovery will not reimburse my Medical Aid Savings account and I am not able to buy my medication I required (to the cost of over R1000), after surgery I had on my foot on 17th August. I am also not able to get the Moon Boot that I need for my foot - all of this due to the ***********, unprofessional, inefficient and totally inferior service I have received from Clicks!!! Whether it be Clicks or Clicks Pharmacy, it still falls under the Clicks umbrella and nobody has been willing or able to assist me.

The worst mistake I ever made was to change pharmacies to Clicks Pharmacy Alberton City. I have made so many attempts via e-mail and phone calls to Clicks Pharmacy Alberton City. When I did not get any response to my latest communication to Clicks Pharmacy Alberton City on 18th August, I looked up the contact details for Clicks Customer Service. After calling the Customer Service department and sending numerous e-mails, I still have not been able to get the payment allocated to my account or get proof thereof. I paid the outstanding amount on the 22nd of August - it is now the 26th of August - FIVE DAYS!!! Nothing...

I am left speechless by the unacceptable and unsatisfactory manner that this matter has been dealt with and the fact that there has been no resolution to this matter of crucial importance.

What is the purpose have having a medical aid, if after more than a week you cannot get the medication that has been subscribed to you??? All of this due to the incompetence of Clicks!

The impact this has had on me and my health does not seem have made any difference for Clicks understand my situation or the urgency in getting this matter resolved. This clearly gives the impression that they have asolutely no understanding, empathy or compassion for my health or well-being.

I am appalled by the service I have received, and I will never fill a another script at Clicks Pharmacy.
