Unacceptable Service Standards at Clicks stores in townships!

Service standards at Clicks stores in our townships are truly unacceptable! Clicks has communicated online that their stores will remain operating during the lockdown, however the Atteridgeville (Attlyn) store does not communicate their new lockdown operating hours or keep to the same hours as other clicks stores, which frustrates our efforts as customers trying to replenish essentials during the lockdown period from shopping centres nearest to our homes.

The Attlyn store in particular closed its doors early at 12:30 on Sunday 12 April 2020 without any kind of notice on its windows or consideration for customers already queueing outside. We were inconsiderately told that the store was closing and asked to lay a complaint if we saw fit. This take it or leave it attitude is in keeping with typically substandard service levels offered to customers shopping in townships, but it's especially unacceptable during a nationwide lockdown as our retailer options and shopping opportunities are obviously limited.

A huge training need exists for Clicks staff. If Clicks Holdings sees fit to open stores in the township, they should at least train their staff to treat their customers at all locations with the same standard of service. It would seem that Clicks' regional managers do not have KPA's relating to service standards in townships stores. This is a pity because the money we spend in your township stores also adds to your bottom line. I appeal to Clicks management to take an interest in service standards across all your locations.
