Ultrasonic humidifier

I bought humidifier on the 19 Feb at Phola Mall. It leaked . We took it back. After a long lecture we were given a replacement. They said I put too much water I must put 250ml in 5L tank. We took that nonsensical advice and put 1 cup. It is leaking.
