Staff Treatment

I was in Clicks Somerset Mall this morning. There were a fair number of people waiting in the queue. At the far end of the cashiers counter there was a woman dealing with a trainee staff member. Apparently the trainee had made a mistake and the woman, who turned out to be a supervisor, was letting the whole shop know. Im my opinion there is no need for someone to be told off so loudly and in public. I am certain the shop has a staff room or office in the back. Even if there isnt such a place, it is very possible to instruct someone as to how they went wrong in a quiet voice so the whole shop doesnt hear. Maybe this specific supervisor should not be in a position of authority as she seems to have forgot that she too was once a trainee.
