Sneaky Clicks

On the evening of the 19th of November 2023 I returned a stick blender I had bought 9 months ago because it just stopped working. It was purchased and returned to Clicks Mall of Africa. I was asked if I would like an exchange and so I opted for that. It was bought for R649 at the time, but I noticed that the exact same blender is on special for R559 at the time of return. I didn't get the blender for the reduced price, but that's not what's bothering me because I had no problem paying full price the first time. What's bothering me is the fact that I was told that I cannot have the new slip because they need to keep it. I asked if the old slip would suffice should I need to return the new blender in the future and I was assured that it would be. I don't know what is standard practice, but this feels all kinds of dubious on the part of Clicks and its employees. I am going to be holding them accountable should I encounter a problem in the future.
