Shocking service

Purchased a Safeway iron last year. One week out of warranty and the iron is not heating up. Have emailed twice and no response. This is really shocking that our emails get ignored . This is not the level of service I am used to from Clicks. Are Safeway products only manufactured to last 1 year and 1 week???? Unless a plan is made I will never purchase another Safeway product.
