RUDE STORE ASSISTANT
I was at Clicks, Greenstone Mall to buy my monthly supply of cosmetics. I tried on a concealer and after doing that saw a lady by the name of Vuyani who works at the same store. I asked her what she thinks of the concealer. She said with an attitude, "Did you get that concealer from our store"? I said yes. She asked why did I even use their tester because there is a notice telling customers not to use testers because of COVID-19. I said I did not see the notice where is it? She showed me and again I said I honestly did not see it. She continued asking me how is it that I did not see it? Not knowing why I did not see it I said maybe it was not visible to me. She carried on asking me how can it not be visible? I got irritated now because she was being rude to me. I asked her if she is implying that I am lying when I said I did not see it. She said no she is not, but she just wants to apologize. I asked her why should I apologize, for not seeing the notice? She said yes. All the while her voice was raised and there were other customers around us looking at all this. I ended up apologizing anyway for not seeing the notice just to end the argument. But that was the most embarrassing and humiliating experience I have ever had. I always shop my cosmetics there and after this encounter, I would not even come close to that store. I think Clicks should train their staff the basics of customer service because under normal circumstances it would have sufficed for her to know that I did not see the notice instead of forcing me to apologize to her. She needs to understand that her role is to assist customers as opposed to soliciting their apologies, when they have made an honest mistake.
