RUDE PHARMACIST
On the 20th of December 2022, I walked into a Clicks store, in Mafikeng, Game/Choppies Centre, NW to get flu medication for my mom using the Self-medication services. I left the store displeased and disgusted due to the rude and under-par service by a lady of the name K****tso.
After my ticket was called, I walked to her service cubicle number 3 I greeted her and asked her to kindly recommend something for flu and pain as we’d previously bought panado (for pain) and was not helping. She repeatedly asked me whose medication was it for and I’d previously mentioned that it was for my mom, giving her her names, I mentioned it to her a couple of times. She went on to ask if she was allergic to any medication and I said no. She asked the questions again from the beginning- who's the medication for? What is she allergic to. But this time with an impatient tone. Like that wasn’t enough, She blatantly raised her voice at me saying “Ausi weeeh!! Wabona gore ke past 6?! Ha ke tle go dira di up and down!! Just tell me what medication you want ke tle ka ona”. Which basically translates to “dear lady, can you see that it’s past 6? I’m not going to go up and down!! Just tell me what medication you want so that I can come with it”.
I went to her because I needed her advice and recommendation on better medication options but instead she made me feel like I was wasting her precious time. I am well aware that she needed to knock off, but she still needs to treat each and every customer in a professional manner. I ended up taking medication which I didn’t necessarily want because of how she kept asking me which medication I wanted without giving me any recommendations like I had requested.
When she finally brought the medication, none of the boxes had direction stickers on them. Her tone was just rude and dismissive; and her service was certainly unprofessional and that can really tarnish the image of the store and the organisation at large.
