refusal to accept a return of goods
On Saturday 12th i went to return a kettle and iron i had received as house warming gifts as i had them already. I stood in the queue for about 30 minutes before it was my turn to be assisted, of which i was told that i should not have stood in the queue in the first place, not knowing how was i to know that if i wasn't told. The only thing that the security did was to check if i had a receipt when i told her im returning things. Nonetheless, i was then assisted by Promise who had a look at my receipt and asked who had bought me the items as she can see that is was one of their staff members. I told her his name and she then called her manager Hlengiwe to verify if she knew the staff member. Hlengiwe approached, upon looking at the receipt then advised me that the staff member had to be present in order for them to process the return. I called him and had to wait another 45 minutes for him to arrive. Please bare in mind that i had my 4 month old daughter with me and she was very iiritable because we had to wait so long. All i want to ask is; is it not ********** to carry a staff member's card when im not? Hlengiwe and Promise wasted my time and gave me a horrible experience.
