Really Bad Service Twice!!!!
I bought a Tony & Guy straightener Musgrave store on 22 Dec. I was on holiday so only got around to using it when I returned to work on the 9th of Jan. Whilst I was using the straightener it literally made a loud click and broke in my hand whilst straightening. I took it to the store and the manager who said that it was negligence and a child might be playing with it and broke it. I was fuming. I am 47yrs old I have no small kids and have many straighteners which I informed her twice but she kept reverting to this reason. I had to ask her to get the supplier to check why an expensive product was flimsy and broke so easily after much deliberation she agreed. Not only that more Clicks staff started gathering around to butt in and offer explanations. Over staffed maybe? After I left the store I flashed back to the day I purchased this product and remembered the day I made the purchase I was treated indifferently to a normal day of purchase. Please look at your camera footage for the day. Interestingly enough the way the store handled my purchase was strange and that never happened to me before. When I went to purchase I was asked to wait and the sales person brought one from the back of the store. When she returned I asked her to give it to me but she said no she will leave it in front of the store at the counter. I found this strange maybe she didn't trust me but did not argue, it was Xmas. Was I given a broken/defective product that had to be brought from the back that the store knew about and not the shelf? Why was it not given to me in my hand to take to the sales counter to pay for? Is it the store or the suppliers fault? I refuse to accept childish blame for a product that cost me R599. This product and query has been escalated to Nonhlanhla Mbele - Musgrave. I have been a Clicks customer for years and this is the first I have been dealt a bad deal. Extremely ****ed off!!!
