Rasism and Inequality @ Clicks
I went do shopping at Clicks Saveways Witbank with my 5 months baby, pushing her with a spar trolley.. When I entered the shop I was approached by 1 of Clicks employee and asked me to leave the trolley outside because they to big they don't allow them in the shop, I didn't argue I did as I was told I continue shopping carrying my baby (worst experience). I went to the same Clicks when approaching the the door there was a white lady with 2 toddlers in the same trolley I used but she was not stopped, on the spot I told 1 of the stuff wat happened to me and asked why she's not stopped he said because we allow trolleys in the shop if they empty he further said he doesn't know why I was not allowed. I went to the guy who said I should leave the trolley outside he told me it's an instruction they got then I realized that I'm getting different explanation and ask for the store manager I was now ****ed, feeling discriminated and felt that a race card was pulled. Manager comes I tell him my story he apologisis and gave me an explanation that really really threw me off, he said they didn't see the lady they were busy at the back I said but I showed 1 of your stuff he said myb her trolley was empty, he then said when I was there maybe it was too busy (he just didn't know how to justify his stuff's action) I then said I want to file a formal complain he then said "kuyafana(it's the same) this email will come to me.
Clicks has been making rounds on media about ****** I witnessed it like its their culture worse the store manager made me feel like my complain is worthless when he said" kuyafana this email will come to me ". I need to be assisted so he can know that it is not the same (Akufani) inequality n rasism should be called out when we see it
