****** & rude Thato store manager klerksdorp CBD
Visited the CLICKS in Klerksdorp CBD yesterday midday. As I approached there was a queue outside for obvious reasons.
The lady at the door whom I later found to be a Mpho was conversing either in Sotho or Tswana to the people ahead of me in the queue. When I was next in line to enter another staff member came to the door and while she stood 2 gentleman who were not in the queue approached her and spoke. I could not hear what was being said as I do not speak Sotho or Tswana but she allowed them to enter.
I then politely asked who gets to enter without queueing. She gave me the death stare and asked aggresively "Are you going to pharmacy?" I said no and she rolled her eyes and looked away without saying anything to me. Another person came and spoke to her and she let them in so I persisted and asked again who gets to go in and who stands outside. She ignored me for a few seconds then again rolled her eyes and gave me the death stare and said "She told you" pointing at Mpho and I said she told nothing. She then asked Mpho again in their language if she did not tell us who should queue and Mpho said she had told us however she was speaking in her language which myself and a few people in the queue did not understand. Seeing her reaction I said to her I had a right to ask her since I had been standing there and did not understand what was happening and while I was talking she was pointing the thermometer on my forehead and saying "go in" I asked her for her name which she refused to give so I refused to move to let other customers in. She did not care a bit so I said that I would complain about her to which she rep**** "I am the store manager". I told her that she should not be as she had no manners. She still refused to give me her name and both of them had no name badges so I went in and asked another staff member for their names.
As I walked away they continued to talk about me saying I was lying that Mpho did tell people in the queue which she may have but it was not in English which we would have all understood.
I understand the official business language to be English in SA and you cannot be a representative of a brand while presenting that brand in your native language and expect everyone to understand it then it means your target market is only those who speak that native language.
Thato does not deserve the title of store manager. She as zero manners or customer service and made me feel prejudiced and marginalized. Pathetic
