Poor Service from Clicks Pharmacy Jabulani Mall

I'm pharmacist in the public sector and was faced with an urgent situation in which one of the neonate babies in the hospital was in need of lifesaving medication which is not kept in the public sector. The intention was to enquire whether the pharmacy had stock of the particular item.

After many attempts at getting through to the branch's switchboard, I was finally answered and transferred to the pharmacy where I waited for well over 20 minutes for the phone to be answered. I finally came to the realization that the emergency I had (which I had mentioned to the lady answering the phone) was not that much of an emergency to the staff at clicks and hence decided to send my search endeavors elsewhere; while though still trying to get through to the pharmacy on my own phone. When I called back though the line remained engaged permanently. It is rather sad that this is the level of service one receives from a pharmacy of this nature. Particularly since the emergency at hand was a matter of life and death.
