Poor Service
I rush from Durban to find Clicks in Scottburgh open since I was informed of a private matter at home and I needed to get some things. I arrive there 17:35. While Im trying to decide what options to get for the matter we have on hand the manager approach me and ask if I need help. I said no, because this is not something a male can really help with. He replies and says ok because we are closed. I didn't realise that its 18:00. I said I'll be finished now. Grab some items and head to the back to get the pills needed for the situation and the lady says sorry I can only get what I want from the pharmacy and they all left. I asked why do they close it there's still a client in the shop. She don't know.... I go to the front and ask the manager where I should now get this pills urgently needed and why they leave when there's still a customer. He replies and say that they actually close at 6 and I can go to the pharmacy. I live in Pennington, now I need to drive back to town after a 75km drive alteady. He said I must ask the pharmacy manager why they closed and left... who is obviously not there for me to ask. I ask him why they don't inform people who come in before 6 that they close and we need to hurry and get done. He say but that will be rude..... as if what is currently happening is not. The lady at the cashier calmly assisted me Nontobeko Gumede and apologized for the situation and inconvenience. She much more suited for the role of a leader than the manager. I spent ober R500, but left maybe another R500 of things. I drive 35km to the nearest Shell to fill my car up and use my Clicks card.... but that won't happen no more. I work in the retail service industry and we help every client who entered before closing the doors even if it means staff leave at 7 at night sometimes. This store do not know what excellent service is.... even the security guy at the door came to tell me that they are closed. I am very disappointed and use to prefer Clicks above Discem but I will drive my 50km to Toti now to use Discem. Clicks in Scottburgh Mall will not see me again and Ill make sure I tell everyone around me about this poor treatment. And if you actually knew the detail of the matter and what I needed then you will you will understand better. I'm not a petty person who just complains for no reason.
