Poor service at security check point

My wife and 2 small daughters just now went to Clicks in Secunda mall 26 December 2019. Time 14:10. After paying for the goods the security stopped them and my wife presented the slip for the goods bought. The security then insisted to check into my 9 year old daughter's small handbag. My wife refused this and the security guard then grabbed the handbag that was still around her neck to check it. Se took out a packet of Halls from her handbag and my wife informed her my daughter bought it from another shop. The security guard refused to stop and listen, and to wait to check the slip my wife was trying to show her, and she immediately proceeded to take action. After finding the slip my wife demanded her to come back. The security guard turned around and looked at the slip, where after she gave back the packet of Halls to my daughter. At this stage my two daughters were crying and where extremely traumatized. My daughter kept on telling her mother why is this happening, she did not ***** anything. What would have happened if the sweets were bought yesterday and we did not have a slip. Would she have arrested my 9 year old daughter? We are not used to this treatment and would like some action to be taken. This situation was handled in an extremely unprofessional manner. This will also be the last time any of my family members will enter a Clicks store.
