Poor service and rude behaviour.

At 11h00 on 22 November 2023, I went to Clicks in Hout Bay as I wanted to buy Black Seed oil and Oregano essential oil. I asked the person who was packing the shelves in the area for assistance. He immediately said that you don't get black seed oil, it only comes in tablet form. I told him that I'd bought this product at Clicks before. He was rather persistent that you don't get it as an oil. Fortunately, we saw the black seed oil on the shelf. I asked for the Oregano oil, and he rep**** with the same response that you don't get it as an oil. I asked to speak to the person in charge of the area and he said it was him. He clearly had no idea what he was talking about and did not know his products at all. I asked if he could call someone else to assist. A woman came over and I tried telling her that I came to buy black seed oil and oregano oil...before I completed my sentence she said you only get this in tablet format. I pointed to the black seed oil in my basket and immediately asked to speak to a manager as I was clearly wasting my time. I repeated myself and asked to speak to a manager. I was angry and upset because they did not want to get a manager it seems. He walked away and a security guard was standing at the corner of the aisle when I heard him curse. I asked him loud what he said and he continued walking away. I asked the security guard what he said and she said that she heard nothing (although he was right beside her). I asked the security guard to walk with me to the manager to say what she heard..the security guard just walked away. I asked for a manager again. Eventually someone came and unfortunately for him, I was not in the mood for someone pretending to be a manager! He thought he would intimidate me by speaking loudly and saying "I am in charge'. I immediately and clearly asked him to only answer, yes or no if he was the manager. He said no. He then told me that he was "in charge" as the store manager stepped out. I asked him what the manager's name was and he said that it was none of my business. I was shocked, and to witness something as unprofessional as this at Clicks was unbelievable. This person clearly had no management or leadership skills. I am appalled by the behaviour of these members of staff at Hout Bay Clicks. I've been living in Hout Bay for 10 years and never received this poor level of service as I did today from people who are clearly not well trained and *********** in their jobs. This should not be a reflection of all the hard-working and amazing staff at Clicks in Hout Bay. However, in the future, I would rather drive to Constantia or Claremont and shop at the opposition to Clicks for these products.
