Poor service

My wife bought me a shaver from clicks chatsworth store on 8th July 2020 at 10.27, I did try out the item and was not happy with it, today the 13th July 2020 she went to the store to return the item and was now being told 5 days later she cannot get a refund due to the virus going around. I spoke to the manager ragani and did ask her if that's her decision that my wife leave with an item I'm not satisfied with and she said to me yes. I did mention that I will report this and she said to me go ahead she doesn't care. Is this how managers of stores are these days. Now my wife drives back home with the item. Clicks now will need to fetch the item from my home and refund me the R799 I paid for an item I'm not happy with

We do understand this pandemic but it's like the consumers now are taken advantage of it. We buy items off the shelf that's been touched by many people before us and its acceptable for the store to sell it to us. But now refuse us a refund based on the virus. It's obvious we can't know how something works if we didn't try it and also the only way to know is to test the item and by law 7 days should still apply. The item can be refunded and sanatised and whatever you need to do as a supplier. But we the consumer should not be the ones that are forced to keep these expensive items.
