Poor product knowledge of staff
On the 21st September 2015, I went to Clicks (Golden Acre) with a prescription to purchase insulin. I was assisted by a pharmacist by the name of Shameelah Abrahams. Upon receiving the insulin, I asked basic questions about the product. The pharmacist seemed unsure of all my questions and concerns - she kept consulting another pharmacist. The product I received was given to me at the pharmacy wrapped and sealed. So at that moment I had no idea what it entailed. Shameelah and company lead me to believe that the insulin box contained 3 disposable insulin pens. I was unsure and went directly to my doctor again - only to find out that the box given contained 5 disposable insulin pens and (NO NEEDLES).
I was furious, why was I not offered needles or advised that I should purchase some? I then had to source needles at another pharmacy. Another waste of fuel and parking. This is not the 1st time I received bad service from Clicks (Golden Acre pharmacy). Everyone seems unfriendly and not eager to help.
I would like to suggest that Clicks (Golden Acre pharmacy) fami****ize themselves with medication or get training.
