Poor customer service at Click's Watermeyer
On the 4th of November, I bought six toilet bags online. The products were delivered on the 5th of November. The box was open when delivered and it was not wrapped with tamper proof tape. I confirmed to the delivery man from Dawn Wing that the toilet bags were six as expected. However, the box has been opened. In case there is something missing, he must remember what I said when he delivered the parcel.
When I opened the toilet bags, everything was fine. However, I did not like three toilet bags. I decided to return them at Clicks Watermeyer Park. When I got to the store, I met a guy with a German cut and he did not have a name tag. He informed me that the toilet bags could only be returned with a hard copy of an invoice. I informed him that the toilet bags were delivered without an invoice, I only received two SMSes from Dawn Wing courier. I asked him if it is not possible to access the invoice from the Click's system in store using my clubcard. His response was that it was not possible and only a hard copy of the invoice will be accepted. I tried to access the invoice from my Click's account using internet on my phone with the assistance of another Click's employee who was a lady without a name tag. However, we were unable to access the invoice. I informed the lady that I will be back in the afternoon with a hard copy of the invoice.
When I arrived at the store in the afternoon, I met the guy with a German cut that I met in the morning at the entrance of the store. I informed him that I was back to exchange the toilet bags. He just passed me without saying a word. From a distance of about 5 meters, I asked him if he saw me. His gesture was very rude and he did not answer me. He went to the tills and came back to me saying I came to the store with an attitude. He further said that even in the morning I wanted to exchange toilet bags but I just left. I told him that I informed his colleague that I will come back in the afternoon since I did not have a hard copy of the invoice as required. He accused me of being rude. When I asked him why is he saying I'm rude, he did not answer. At this stage, I did not even ask him his name. I think he is a Store Manager because he authorized the whole process of returning the toilet bags at the tills. The guy has terrible interpersonal skills and zero customer service. If he is a Store Manager, I wonder what criteria was used to employ him because he does not have basic customer service. I don't think he upholds Click's values.
